Staff facilities and services

Though it’s a car-free island, getting around and staying in touch is incredibly easy. Most of the resort side of the island is accessible by foot, several of the resorts utilise golf buggies, and there is also the Hamilton Island’s free Island Shuttle service. 

Transport

A free shuttle bus service for guests and employees operates daily. As everything is in walking distance, travelling by foot is also a popular option (and the hills offer a good opportunity to get fit!). Depending on your position, you may be given access to company vehicles and golf buggies for work purposes only.

Medical Centre

Location: Across the road from Resort Centre.
Points: Staffed by General Practitioners, bookings essential.

Pharmacy

Location: Front Street.
Facilities: All pharmaceutical items, toiletries.

Post Office

Location: Front Street.
Facilities: PO boxes are available for rent.

Bank facilities 

Location: Australia Post, Front Street
Facilities: Cash deposits and withdrawals can be made using the Bank@Post service at the Australia Post office. Cash can also be exchanged for pre-paid or top-up MasterCards.

Hair and beauty salon

Located in the Resort Centre. Services include hairdressing, beauty treatments, nail care (bookings essential)

Phones

Most staff own a mobile phone and you are able to purchase pre-paid mobile phone offers on the island if you’re not already on an existing plan.
All major telecommunication carriers service Hamilton Island. Connecting the phone at home depends on where you are living and is probably easiest to organise once you get here.
