Hamilton Island Wildlife Festive Opening Hours From 24 December - 2 January, Hamilton Island Wildlife Park will be open from 8am - 4pm. A great activity the whole family will love, Hamilton Island Wildlife gives you the opportunity to get up close to some iconic Australian wildlife. Hamilton Island Wildlife is conveniently located on the resort side of the island. Unique experiences. Get up close to all kinds of Australian marsupials, snakes, lizards, koalas and kangaroos. You can even meet the park’s very own giant crocodile! Guided tour. Take a fun, guided tour with one of the expert keepers, who will help you feed, talk to, and touch some of the Aussie animals. Guided tours are run daily at 10.00am and 3.00pm. Fun day out. When you’re finished exploring the park, you can enjoy a coffee and light lunch with the Koalas at the Wildlife Park cafĂ© open from 8.00am daily. Aussie Animal Encounters. Get up close and have your photograph taken with some of Australia's most popular wildlife! This includes koalas, dingoes, pythons and lizards! VIP Animal Experience. Enjoy getting to know your choice of iconic local wildlife at a relaxed pace, with a 30 minute private/small group tour guided by one of our expert keepers, and 4 souvenir photos to capture the fun. Encounters and VIP Experiences: Koala Encounter Come and meet one of our cuddly koalas. Keepers will take you into their CafĂ© exhibit where you can get up close and personal. Close enough to touch feel and smell the eucalyptus. Keepers will take a digital photo of you and the Koala and send it to your email that day. Reptile Encounter Snakes and Lizards have more personality than you think. Keepers will bring our remarkable reptiles down to you at the CafĂ©. You can meet either a lizard or snake and learn a little about how cool they actually are. You can get a digital photo of you holding one of our amazing reptiles and we will email it to you that day. Dingo Encounter Come down to the CafĂ© and meet Albury, Piper or Koen our very own Australian wild dogs. Keepers will come down to the CafĂ© with the Dingo so that you can sit with one of them and learn about their unique history and how they came to be a wild Australian animal Icon. We’ll take a digital photo and send it your email that day. Koala VIP We will take you into their CafĂ© exhibit where you can get up close and personal. Have a digital photo of you and the Koala taken, then head off to the Koala exhibit and spend some quality personal VIP time with a keeper and the rest of our Koala group. Spend 30 minutes learning about our special individuals and about wild Koalas, their amazing lives, their habitat, and how we can protect them. Have more photos taken of you and your new cuddly friends and we will email them to you that day. Reptile VIP Head on up to our Reptile Deck and keepers will bring out some of our remarkable reptiles. You can spend 30 minutes of VIP time with our keeper and meet four of them. You can touch, hold, feel and learn a little about how cool they actually are. You can get a digital photos of you holding each of the amazing reptiles and we will email them all to you that day. Dingo VIP Come up and spend time inside the Dingo exhibit with all three of our Dingoes Albury, Piper and Koen and one of our knowledgable Keepers. You’ll get 30 minutes of VIP time to sit with them and learn about their unique history and how they came to be a wild Australian animal Icon. At Hamilton Island Wildlife, we have made the ethical decision to not allow guests to hold our Koalas. During our encounters, guests can enter the exhibit, touch and pat a koala, get close enough for a photo but are not allowed to stand and hold the Koala during their experience. Cancellation policy If your booking is cancelled within 4 to 24 hours notice, 50% of the ticket price will be forfeited.
