Challenge yourself on Sunday 24 November 2024 in the beautiful waters of Catseye Beach with a 2km or a 750m swim. There’s also a 350m race for the under 13s as well as plenty of great activities and events on offer throughout the weekend. Whether you’re striving for a personal best, or to simply enjoy the view, the Hamilton Island Ocean Swim is perfect for all fitness levels and abilities.

How to Enter
Entries Close
Online entries close Saturday 23 November at 5.00pm AEST. Race entries will be capped for this event. Should the quota not be reached then entries will be accepted up to and including race day
Cost
Registrations:
$90.00 per competitor (includes race entry, race kit and event shirt).
Junior Swim registrations:
$30.00 per junior competitor (includes race entry, race kit and event shirt).
Minimum Ages
Competitors in the 2km and 750m swim must be a minimum of 13 years old as at 24 November 2024.

Pre Event Participation
You must ensure that you have trained sufficiently and are physically capable of completing the event within your current level of health and fitness. You must also ensure at all times during the event that you are performing well within your level of skill and ability for each of the three disciplines. To not abide by these conditions can create potentially dangerous situation for your self and other competitors. The water temperature will be approximately 23 degrees.

IT IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL SWIMMERS TO REGISTER DURING THESE TIMES. Please bring a printed copy of your receipt.
- You must show identification (Drivers License, Passport etc)
In your Race Kit you will receive race briefing notes (please read thoroughly), race numbers, timing chip, sponsor product and your event shirt.
Cruise Whitsundays Transfers
Registered competitors travelling from Port of Airlie to Hamilton Island over the Triathlon and Ocean Swim weekend do not have to pay return ferry transfers. Please use the special code provided when you register.
If you are participating in the Ocean Swim or the Triathlon, a 50% discount on ferry transfers will be extended for up to 1 adult and 2 children when travelling to Hamilton Island with you for the event.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals prior to the event must be in writing – email events@hamiltonisland.com.au. If you withdraw on race day prior the race start, please advise an Official at Race Kit Collection or at the Officials Marquee. The cancellation fee is 100% should you withdraw on race day. If you withdraw during the race, please report to the Officials Marquee and advise the closest Official that you have withdrawn.

Withdrawals before Friday 15 November 5.00pm you will receive a full refund, less any processing fees. NO REFUND will be applicable after Friday 15 November 2024, 5.00pm.
Rules
This is a non-sanctioned event. This is a NON-WETSUIT event, swim skins are permissible but any suit or device that aids buoyancy or propulsion will not be allowed. Should you be found wearing any of these you will be disqualified. Any athlete found taking a shortcut will be disqualified.
Changes to Entry
Changes can be made to your race entry prior to 23 November, 5.00pm via your event website login.
Medical Insurance
This is a non sanctioned event. It is strongly advised that you take out personal medical insurance for the duration of your stay, especially for international competitors. Under the Australian Health Act, all non-Australians are not covered financially for personal injury. If you do have an accident you must pay for your own medical expenses. Therefore it is essential for you to obtain adequate personal medical insurance.
Results
Race Results will be available via the website at the conclusion of the event.
Prize Money & Prizes
Prize money and prizes to be won.
There must be a minimum of five (5) participants in the one category to qualify for prizes.
Presentations
Presentations will take place at the Beach Pavilion at conclusion of racing.
